Highlands Community Church...
We believe that we were created for relationship, with God and with each other! Unfortunately, we live in a world where hurting and broken relationships are often the norm. God's answer to our problem of relationship is found in Christ. It is in Christ that we discover grace, hope, truth, faith, love and the power to Develop Eternally Significant Relationships. C.S. Lewis wrote that "You can't get second things by putting them first; you can only get second things by putting first things first." Human beings were made for a relationship with their Creator... that's the "first thing!" So we have ministries that let people understand that God wants a relationship with them. People are important to God and so people are important to us! . We want our relationship with God to benefit those around us. We are involved in our community, making connections with people and developing loving relationships. We partner with the schools in the area, meeting the needs of children, parents and teachers. Our Children’s and Youth Ministries are family based. We believe that the best way to light up our community for Christ is to let Christ light up families. We offer special programs for youth: The Sonshine Club (our Christian Clubs at Highlands Elementary School) and Wide Eyed Wonder Kids (a Sunday Morning Children's time that often involves the swingset in the park) and THE DEEP (our youth ministry) that all help connect children, young people and parents with each other and with God. So come and Develop an Eternally Significant Relationship!
